The VPI Forever Model One introduces VPI’s next-generation approach to high-end analogue playback, combining a substantial mechanical platform with a modular architecture designed for servicing, upgrades and future development.
As the first model in the VPI Forever Series, the Model One incorporates a 12-inch, 20 lb aluminum platter, a new VPI S-Tonearm, and VPI’s 3-Point Floating Suspension system. Its modular construction allows key assemblies to be serviced, replaced or upgraded as the system evolves. VPI also backs the Forever Series with a 10-year warranty.

Vpi S-Tonearm
The Forever Model One introduces VPI’s new S-Tonearm Module, combining a solid aluminum structure with a statically balanced design.
The tonearm uses ABEC 5 bearings for low-friction movement and incorporates adjustment facilities intended to simplify precise cartridge setup.
A solid aluminum headshell provides azimuth adjustment, while VTA adjustment is located at the arm base. The locking threaded counterweight allows fine adjustment while helping control unwanted resonance.

Forever Platter & Motor Drive Module
The Model One uses a substantial 12-inch, 20 lb aluminum platter as part of its Motor Drive and Platter Module.
VPI describes the Forever Platter as a 2-inch-thick, 12-inch-diameter platter with an inverted bearing, designed to minimize bearing contact area and reduce friction.
The motor drive uses a 300 RPM belt-drive motor, with 500 RPM operation in 230V countries, and a two-speed pulley for 33⅓ and 45 RPM operation.
3-Point Floating Suspension
One of the defining elements of the Forever Model One is VPI’s 3-Point Floating Suspension / 3D Isolation system.
The suspension uses high-tech polymer isolation elements with adjustable leveling. VPI states that the system is designed to isolate the platter and tonearm from motor-related and external vibration.
The modular suspension architecture also allows the Motor and Platter Module and Tonearm Module to be replaced or upgraded independently.
Modular Design For Long-Term Upgrades
The Forever Model One is designed around replaceable modules rather than a fixed, closed architecture.
The Motor Drive and Platter Module can be serviced, adjusted, replaced or upgraded, while the Tonearm Module can likewise be changed as future requirements evolve. This modular approach is central to the Forever Series concept.
