The McIntosh CR106 is a premium digital 2-channel, 6-zone preamplifier and audio matrix designed for high-performance distributed home audio and custom installation systems. It combines source management, zone control and audio distribution in a compact 2U rack-mountable chassis, making it ideal for multi-room residential and professional AV installations.

The CR106 can independently control up to six stereo audio zones, while up to five CR106 units can be connected through Dante® networking to create systems with up to 30 audio zones.

Multi-Room & Zone Management

The CR106 is designed specifically for distributed audio applications. Each of its six zones can operate independently, allowing different music sources to be played in different areas of a home or installation.

Dante® Multi-Unit Expansion

For large distributed audio installations, up to five CR106 units can be networked using Dante®. This allows the system to expand to as many as 30 independent two-channel audio zones, making the CR106 suitable for large residences, luxury homes and sophisticated custom-install projects.
