Designed For Dedicated Music Listening
The CD 70 brings a dedicated source component back to the centre of the listening experience. Instead of relying on a computer or general-purpose streaming device, listeners can enjoy their CD collection through a player designed specifically for disc playback and high-quality audio conversion.
Its understated design integrates naturally with compatible Marantz amplifiers and other premium hi-fi components, making it suitable for dedicated listening rooms and contemporary living spaces.
High-Performance Digital Audio
At the heart of the CD 70 is a high-performance DAC supported by Marantz HDAM-SA2 circuitry. This combination is engineered to preserve musical detail, deliver clear instrumental separation and reproduce recordings with natural tonal balance.
Whether revisiting familiar albums or discovering new recordings, the CD 70 provides a dedicated digital source designed to complement a quality stereo amplification system.
High-Resolution Usb Playback
The front USB-A input expands the CD 70 beyond physical discs, allowing playback of compatible music files stored on supported USB storage devices.
Supported formats include FLAC, WAV, AIFF, ALAC and DSD, subject to the file's supported specifications and playback requirements. This provides a convenient way to enjoy a digital music library through the same high-quality audio component used for CD listening.
Personal Listening With A Dedicated Headphone Amplifier
For private listening, the CD 70 incorporates a dedicated headphone amplifier using Marantz HDAM circuitry. Selectable gain settings help accommodate compatible headphones with different sensitivity and impedance characteristics.
This makes the player useful not only as a source for a traditional amplifier-and-speaker system, but also as part of a dedicated headphone listening setup.
